Shakira's Sensual Hips in Bollywood film

Shakira's stunning, yet highly controversial performance of her song “Waka Waka” at the opening ceremony of the World Soccer Championships is still fresh in the minds of the millions of people who watched her. The “She Wolf” may soon embark on her next adventure by singing in a Bollywood movie. Shakira, whose career is soaring like never before, continues to be on top of the world.

Bollywood music composer Shalim recently praised Shakira by saying that he finds her to be a very versatile singer and her style of singing is ideally suited for Indian songs which are one of the main ingredients of Bollywood movies. If the reports are true, Salim and Sulaiman are currently composing a stunning track for Shakira to sing in an upcoming Bollywood movie directed by Prashant Chadha, and with businessman Sachin Joshi taking the lead role. The Indian Premier League team “Kolkata Knight Riders” has Joshi as one of its sponsors.

The buzz on Shakira being offered to take part in this project has not yet been confirmed by the Colombian singer/songwriter on any of her social networking portals, her website, and during none of her recent interviews. This in spite of Salim claiming that “it will be a very sensuous cabaret kind of song”. Chadha and Joshi's publicist has also claimed not to be able to confirm the role of Shakira in this Bollywood film. She said, “Please talk to Percept Pictures – the movie's producer – about it.” She continues, “I don't want to fuel any spaculation.” Nevertheless, Salim told that the song's melody structure is complete and is ready as a sample track. The song is supposedly in cabaret style with Latin influences.

In the meantime, rumors and speculations continue as it is mentioned that the song, planned to be recorded in a couple of months from now, will be filmed ON Playboy bunny Candice Boucher, who also has a role in the movie. It is suggested that Joshi has contacted Shakira over the song. The lyrics are supposedly in English and laced with “easy Hindi”.

Shakira has a past with India. She performed live in Mumbai and other Indian cities in 2007, and in various of the interviews she held in the past Shakira mentioned her desire to be a part of Bollywood. His is not the first time Bollywood is contracting international stars to sing in its movies. Last year's movie “Blue”, starring Akshay Kumar , had the Australian Pop star Kyle Minogue making her Bollywood debut.
