Shakira's two Shattering Performances in Fall and Winter 2010

The international Latin music superstar Shakira is continuing her long string of live performances in 2010 with a concert at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino Special Events Center in Indio, U.S.A., on Tuesday, October 26. Shakira is also planning to kick off a new type of interactive concert to be held in Manchester - in the U.K. - between December 14 and December 20.

Colombian singer and songwriter Shakira – who released the album “She Wolf” in late 2009 – has won two Grammy Awards and she has been nominated for the Golden Globe Award. The singer of the FIFA World Cup Championship anthem “Waka Waka” also won seven Latin Grammy Awards and a staggering amount of twelve Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Shakira is widely known for her musical talents and achievements, but not many people know that the hard-working Latin diva is also a humanitarian philanthropist. Shakira's Barefoot Foundation has donated more than 10,000 pairs of tennis shoes to poor children in her hometown of Baranquilla in Colombia. “Latin Queen” Shakira is also a Goodwill Ambassador of the UNICEF. She has visited disaster areas – including the aftermath of the Haitian earthquake - to talk to children who were directly affected by the natural disasters.

The concert of Shakira at the Fantasy Spring Resort on October 26 will start at 8 p.m., and is part of the last leg of her tour in the States before she flies to Europe in November. Her Manchester audience will be part of a great and unique experiment during her concerts, entitled “Tour Of Our Earth Delights”: Shakira is currently planning a show that emphasizes on interaction with the audience working Theater director Felix Barretto is currently working with Shakira to make this concept a successful reality. Shakira promised, "My live show will have a lot of that, a lot of dancing, a joie de vivre," The Latin superstar was quick to add, "I feel such freedom on stage. It's such a rush to be performing. I like to see every body's faces on stage, to see the reaction. Normally you can only see the front row because of the lights." "You'll see a lot of the energy you saw during my Glastonbury festival appearance...I want to feel things up close. My vibe is to gather different influences from all over and put them together with my own style," said Shakira.
