In this modern era, women around the world have a lot of pressure from their peers, TV, Movies and advertising, to be skinny and thin. Jaslene Gonzalez, the America's Top Model winner is making a line of clothing to promote this feeling of being skinny. The fashion line at this time is called "Skinny", and we're curious if it is something you'd buy?
Jaslene reports exclusively to Latina.com that she's working on her own clothing line, and said “I’ve been a skinny girl all my life and I know what it’s like to be skinny, so I think I’m the perfect person to do this."
“The line is for everybody who wants to look and feel skinny," Gonzalez says. Fashion designer Sergio Celestino is apparently behind the fashions, and plans to use high-quality fabric to assist in the "slimming effect", along with special tailoring.
Jaslene Gonzalez was born in Puerto Rico and grew up in Humboldt Park, Chicago. She attended Notre Dame High School for Girls on the Northwest Side of Chicago. She was an online college admissions advisor prior to America's Next Top Model. Jaslene filmed her first official CoverGirl commercial, which aired in Europe, Latin America and on Spanish-language channels and has been featured on Teen Vogue. Gonzalez hosts events on Spanish 'Yeah!' channel.
