AMSTERDAM –  From April 22 to 25 The Garden State will host its first salsa dance extravaganza: the first annual New Jersey International Salsa Congress 2010 (NJISC2010). The management team - MJ (Mary Angel), Pablo and Angel  - has gone all the way to organize a salsa dance event ‘to boldly go where no salsa dance congress has ever gone before’.

The beautiful Sheraton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford (New Jersey, U.S.A.) will have the honor of receiving dozens of Salsa Dance teachers and performers who will be teaching and entertaining hundreds of salsa dancers from all over the world. MJ, Pablo and Angel added their combined 60+ years of experience in the areas of Salsa & Latin ballroom dancing together with their professional experiences in the areas of government and academia, global business, and large scale event productions to reach their common goal of taking this Salsa Dance Congress to a higher level. With their attendance and experience of salsa dance events since 1997 – at the very beginning of the salsa dance craze – they have what it takes to make a salsa congress successful.

NJICS2010 offers the same structure as other dance events with workshops and lectures does: 2 and a half days of workshops with many different topics and levels of salsa and other Latin dances. But the management has taken a fundamentally different approach: instead of organizing the conventional footwork or partnerwork dance workshops they aim to develop very specific workshops topics. This approach will prove to be more satisfying for the participants. The management team offers certain limited workshops which will be exclusive, such as the Ladies Immersion Program developed and instructed by the famous Griselle Ponce (New Jersey, U.S.A.) as well as the very effective Salsa Grooves Timing Software which was masterminded by Azucena and Carlos from Jazzy Dance Company (Austin, U.S.A.). And NJISC2010 also brings Super Mario (London, U.K.), internationally known as the Million Moves Man, back to the States after 6 years of his last visit.

The management team NJICS2010 has also managed to arrange 36 top instructors and produce 4 evenings of exciting shows. The 1 hour shows will take place on 2 professional stages placed next to each other. At the end of each show the huge crowd will be more than ready to ‘dance the night away’. And all the instructors are ‘World Class’. Just to name a few of them: Eddie Torres (the ‘Mambo King’ from New York, U.S.A.), Juan Calderón & Christina Piedra (the ‘Salsa CEO’ from New Jersey, U.S.A.) and Junior & Emily Alabi (world Salsa Champions from Los Angeles, U.S.A.). Extra: the instructors will be available private dance classes during NJISC2010. The management encourages the participants to contact these ‘master teachers’ in advance if they wish to take private instruction from them.

NJISC2010 is all about learning and improving your dance level. For more information and to buy passes: www.newjerseyinternationalsalsacongress.com

Dance because you like it and show that. Own the dance. A good student can copy the teacher but a great dancer learns and then makes it her own. So, create your own style and do your thing. And very important: dare to dance!
