The Needs of Female Dancers

The main drive for women dancing Salsa is to feel special on the dance floor whilst dancing. Men aspiring to become the best dancers on the dance floor should always consider this fact. The men having multiple sexual encounters with several female dancers are not only great dancers themselves, but they also adapt fluently to the dance level and style of the follower. These men can ‘read’ women. The first tip for men is to start thinking like a woman. Reading girl magazines and watching ‘Chick Flicks’ is not enough. The best way for a Salsero to start his journey into becoming a ‘Salsa Player’ is by learning to dance as a follower. This is the best way for men to realize how their lead affects the girls’ state of mind. Male Salsa dancers should be busy with making their dance partners look and feel as if they are the best dancers on the dance floor.  

Female dancers also want to feel protected and have the undivided attention of their dance partners. This does not mean the guys have to stare the whole time into the eyes of the followers; in most cases this will only make the Salseras feel very uncomfortable. Knowing what kind of dancing a follower likes is a bonus. Some girls like men to lead them into the most intricate dance moves, while others are just satisfied with dancing fluently. Sexually Attractive Male Dancers

This means a guy imposing himself on a lady by grabbing her and pressing his body against hers will not have the results he is expecting. Dancing close together – or ‘Body to Body’ does not mean the girl wants to have sex. Sensual Bachata or Zouk dancing is not a prelude to having sex. Best is to let her take the initiative. A good balance between dancing close together and dancing in a ‘normal’ open dance position is the best way to go. Female dancers spend lots of time grooming before they go to a party. Men who look careless and/or having a bad hygiene will not score many points. Respect

Men should respect women. Salsa dancers having long-term monogamous relationships should tell the truth to their potential sex partners. Salseros flirting with other persons than their other halves whilst dancing will not harm their relationships if the sexual tension ends after a song. Male dancers should always know and take in account what their spouses consider to be ‘not done’ on the dance floor. Ladies running around behind popular dancers for sex should know that this ‘game’ can be very satisfying in short terms, but also very harmful on the long run. A male dancer who cheats on his spouse with a Salsera will probably do the same with her later on.

Respect yourself, protect each other, and always use a condom.
