Gilberto Santa Rosa is known as ”El Caballero de la Salsa” (The Gentleman of Salsa). His career started as a backup singer of Mario Ortiz Orchestra in 1976. Santa Rosa grew up listening to the salsa of the ’50s and ’60s, strongly influenced by El Gran Combo.
Frankie Ruiz
Frankie Ruiz was one of the first to sing in salsa’s sensual style, salsa romantica, and has played an important role in the resurrection of salsa music’s popularity in the seventies.
Gerardo Rosales
Gerardo Rosales is a Salsa Musician from Venezuela. At the age of 8 he started studying the piano and at the same time showed interest in playing the congas and bongo.
