Puerto Rican Sonora Ponceña, is one of the most popular tropical bands of all time. They got together in 1954 with local musicians Enrique Lucca Caraballo and Antonio Santaella, who had been playing in a band formed in 1944 called El Conjunto Internacional.
Tito Nieves
Born in Puerto Rico but raised in the States, Tito Nieves (Humberto Nieves) began his career participating in Cimarrón, an orchestra based in New York. He formed a group with Héctor Lavoe in 1977 and joined Conjunto Clásico soon after.
